Like many other churches today, we are struggling to make ends meet on a weekly basis. Although we have had many successful fundraising events during the past year, the money raised merely goes towards our weekly expenditure and so we have little left to put towards the cost of major fabric repairs to our historic church. Last year we had to repair two of our roofs at a cost of over £11,000 and unfortunately the tower is in need of major repair costing in the region of £20,000. We hope to start the first phase of this shortly.

We are very grateful to everybody who has given us donations in the past year, these include: Money raised from quizzes at the Wheatsheaf pub, a concert given by Tintwistle Band and held jointly by the church and the Rotary Club, a very successful fashion show hosted by Fizz from Hyde, a concert by Accord, the Medieval Market and of course donations from members of the congregation and others.
